Gabriel's Valentine's Party

A Valentine's Party was held at our complex on Friday for all the kids. I pushed nap time a few hours to attend but it was so worth it (it will be obvious in the photos, Gabe's tiredness that is). I love watching Gabriel around other kids- you sometimes forget he is even there because he's quietly off to the side observing. He started to warm up towards the end though by helping add to all the noise in a small echo filled room. He's been experimenting with his voice a lot lately and really enjoys hearing how loud he can get.

He wasn't that excited about participating in water color painting or sitting for a group photo but did like gathering chocolates which was ironically the one thing I thought he wouldn't grasp the concept of, after all he isn't really aware as to what chocolate is yet or what it can look like wrapped up in different fashions. After watching the kids crawl around the floor collecting treats for a few moments from the comfort of my arms he decided he wanted down to grab treats too. One of the ladies handed him a bag and he knew exactly what to do.

Most of the kiddos are older but all were very sweet and aware of Gabriel- friendly patting his head, saying hello and gracefully slipping by him as they ran around the room being big kids.

He sure is growing into a little boy right in front of our eyes.

  1. Those baby blues! Just precious. And love his elbow patches on his sweater...such a little man! Happy Valentine's Day!

  2. SO cute! I love that you guys had a little valentines party to go to! Gabriel looks like he's enjoying it too :)

On a side note we have that same sweater for Riggs in a different color and while we love it, it seems like it runs super small! Have you noticed that?

  3. Wow! Talk about overload. I'll take a set of planets and some colorful shamrocks, please. :)

  4. Super small! Oh thank goodness it's not just me going crazy. I bought 2T and 3T online when GAP was having a sale for next fall and winter. When it fit perfectly even though it was a 3T I freaked thinking I wasted money on clothes that won't work. Fortunately it was just that sweater.

  5. I am a sucker for elbow patches. :)

  6. The planets are lolly pops! How cool is that?!

  7. Hi beautiful mama! Thanks so much for visiting my blog and for your lovely comment. I love meeting fellow mommy bloggers.
