Friday Favorites!

I am kind of in awe that it is already Friday. I feel like it was just Monday morning where I was sort of overwhelmed with my week's schedule. Hello Friday, glad you made it! 


{THIS} Christmas Look

I was hoping to have my tree up Monday but unfortunately that didn't happen… Maybe today. I'm looking into Swedish and Scandinavian style and traditions- getting back to my roots! 


{THIS} Recipe

We've been using a lot of green enchilada sauce lately and so when I came across a homemade version I was pretty excited! I've tried it once and loved it. I haven't needed to seal it yet but want to look into actually canning it so I can make a pot of it and save it away for later. Any thoughts? 


This Moment 

I had a couple baking hang outs with friends this week. I love having productive time with friends, it's such a great example of communal living- helping each other out with daily duties. One day I baked muffins with a friend for our families and the other day a friend and I ventured into baking pretzels. The pretzel baking day also came with Scrabble!

I'm a sucker for most things crafted with a map. I absolutely love this popcorn garland and that most items in Marissa's shop are made from maps! She even has some paper airplane cupcake toppers folded out of maps!

    Love that quote and love that recipe! I love green enchilada sauce and green hot sauce, so I think I would really like homemade enchilada sauce! Thanks!

    Simple Scandinavian sounds like a perfect 'style' for this Christmas! I'm trying to wait to decorate until December, it's so hard!! Love all things maps! And I saw that quote earlier this week and just loved it! It's sooo true too! Have a lovely weekend!

    My family didn't do much with our heritage because they were so new to American that it was more like, "we're American now, not Swedish." I really want our kids to have some of the heritage pride!

    YES! We cannot let it slip from our mind when we see successful women in the working field as we are cleaning the poop off our shirt and mopping pee up with our socks… :)

    I really want to do that with wreaths! If I make it out of real tree branches I fear that the will dry out- not sure how to go about this.
