Weekly Wrap-Up no.2

I'm excited to say that last week's Wrap-Up was a hit so I'm going to continue with this little "journey" of mine.

{THIS} Blog Post

Tiffany at The Dwelling Tree wrote a beautiful post about making time for God. While in Japan I have been in the word far more consistently in the last five months than I have been in a long time. Tiffany comments that the more you're in the word the more you feel like you need it- this is how I've been feeling. She referenced 1 Peter 2:1-3, "Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind. Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good." This is the first time I've read that passage since giving birth to Gabriel and experiencing breast feeding. Needless to say these verses hit me with deeper understanding and meaning after reading them in her post.

I love tortillas, peanut butter - see {HERE} and {HERE} - strawberries, bananas, and of course chocolate and apparently you can eat them all together! I haven't gotten around to purchasing tortillas yet since we are working on emptying our pantry before flying home but they are already on my big shopping list! This will be enjoyed for breakfast in the near future, promise!

This Moment

It has been a big week for Gabriel! He has started pulling himself up, crawling is emerging more than ever, and he has started pointing and clapping! The funny thing is that he didn't just start clapping but instead without ever seeing him clap before I asked him to clap and he did! I thought it was a fluke so the next morning right when I got him up from bed I asked him to clap for me and sure enough he started clapping! ECing has continued on the upswing and even after a successful toilet experience he started clapping for himself when I praised him. Love that boy.

Charm & Gumption owned by Holly Castro is a place where you can find lovely paper products and office supplies. Not only do I love her products but I love that she uses washi tape as a prop. Looking a little deeper into Charm & Gumption I found that Holly also has a blog where she writes about her life, loves and of course business. If you're into design and stationary I'm sure you'd just love her!

These Words

What hard truth to read. I truly do believe this but it has become 10 folds harder to practice faith over worry since giving birth to Gabriel. Gabriel is the Lord's and though He has gifted Gabriel to Christopher and I to protect and guide with Him, ultimately Gabriel's safety is in the hands of the Lord- as is our own fates in life. If I'm filling my head and heart with worry then where is there room for faith?

    1. I know right?! I was thinking about how I used to make my own tortillas and that maybe homemade tortillas with a dash of cinnamon might even be better if that is even possible!
