Do I dare say we'll be home in a week? A week?! Yes, I'm pretty hopeful that the 14th is a date that will stick as our return date. If is isn't, well what is another week... or two... after being gone for over 5 months? But yes, I'd put money on the 14th.
For those of you who are new around here I apologize for claiming to be a DIY blog in addition to a baking and family blog yet haven't been DIYing. I PROMISE that this will change once I break out of Japan and find myself back in the great state of Washington! Trust me, there are many plans in the works!
For example, after owning our house for a year and a half we finally started to do something with our living room right before we left for Japan. I was trying to find pictures of it with {this} couch and {this} bookcase we purchased but I guess the holidays and packing to move abroad for 5+ months didn't allot for any time to take some updated photos.
I'm pretty excited to decorate this blank slate but not sure what direction I would like to take it in. Here is a collection of some of my inspirations for what I'm kind of envisioning:
Top to Bottom, Left to Right
There are a few things going on here, this I know. I love the chemist vases, the mechanical gears, as well as the botanical prints! What's with all the science?! I'm not necessarily going for a theme but would like some sort of put together look. You know those rooms you walk into and it just feels right? I want that feeling when I walk through my front door into our living room. But does a room ever really feel complete?

I would love a combination of all of those, as well! They are so fun!! And, no! I don't think a room every feels complete. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteHaha, thanks for the confirmation. :)
Deletethose are great! The botanical prints are fantastic. Our living room in our old house was done in greys with mustard accents. I just love that color scheme! HAPPY DECORATING!
ReplyDeleteOh fun! What are your living room colors now?!
