Grocery Finds and Babysitting (1/31/13)

Not quite the flu but Gabriel woke up with a stuffy nose. By itself it probably wouldn't be as big of a deal but on top of beginning to cut teeth it is.

We were originally going to go to Zushi beach with some of the other wives and children but because we weren't feeling up to par we stayed home. Gabriel got a couple good naps in and afterwards since I was starting to feel cooped up we walked over to the grocery store.

Could stare into those eyes all day! And do... :)

I'm slowly getting used to the different items for sale but some things I don't think will ever seem normal to me...

Pooh, Mini Mouse, Hello Kitty, Anpanman (to the right) are just a few of the many animated Characters that can be found as anything.
I also went downstairs to the HAC (Health and Communication) store to find a nose sucker (ah yes, the not so cute side of babies) and in addition found some trainer chopsticks!

Chris and I returned the favor of babysitting for Elise and Ben tonight! Like they babysat for my birthday we babysat for hers! Chris and I have talked about having a few children and watching a 2 and 4 year old with our 5 month old in the mix would be pretty realistic! Kind of a crazy thing to think about during the night! The kiddos came over to our place and though we didn't have many age appropriate toys we did have washi tape, salt, flour and water! Built some roads and had a little sensory fun!

Thank you 100yen washi tape!

  1. My kiddos always got a runny/stuffy nose when teething. The stuffy nose could just be from teething.
