For the Love of Felt!

For a couple years now I have really enjoyed working with felt! Felt ornaments are one of the hottest items in my shop, with bunting banners being a very close second! It is a really workable and sturdy medium.
Scalloped Trees from The Land of Nod

About a month ago I was thumbing through the holiday Land of Nod catalog. This is a company I became familiar with during my pregnancy and have since swooned over many of their products. As I was flipping pages I stopped on these cute trees and though, 'I can make those!'

I though they were cute I wanted to 'spruce' them up a bit! I love touches of glitter for the holidays and had some left over jingle bells that needed to be used!

What You'll Need
  • foam cone
  • circle template (made mine out of cardboard)
  • Elmer's or Tacky glue
  • hot glue gun and glue
  • glitter
  • jingle bell
  • felt
  • scissors
I used 53 1 1/2" circles on a 9" foam cone

Did not realize 'Glow' meant glow in the dark... How that didn't click I have no idea.

Glue circles directly on the cone in an over lapping fashion.

Fold circles over the top of the cone and hot glue the jingle bell right on to!

Like the Charlie Brown tree picture? Found it in Google images and printed it onto a page from an old dictionary! Quick and easy Holiday decorating!
