'Anyway You Want them' Oatmeal Cookies
I love oatmeal cookies because of their versatility. Maybe you're feeling like simple oatmeal chocolate chip, or in the mood for traditional oatmeal raisin-chocolate-chip, you can also throw in some butterscotch chips and/or shredded coconut. This weekend, we were feeling like white-chocolate-cranberry-macadamia-nut oatmeal cookies!
Standard Oatmeal Cookie Recipe
1 cup Crisco
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown vanilla
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups of oatmeal
For white-chocolate-cranberry-macadamia-nut oatmeal cookies:
1 cup white chocolate chips
1 cup cranberries
1 cup chopped macadamia nuts
Cream Crisco and sugars. Add vanilla and eggs, mix till blended. Add 3/4 cups of flour, soda and salt, mix well. Add remaining 3/4 cups of flour and mix through. Stir in oatmeal, white chocolate chips, cranberries, and chopped macadamia nuts.
Bake at 350' for 10 minutes. Enjoy.
