I read this last night while winding down for bed. This is why I have 'Thankful Thursdays,' so that instead of spending time thinking about what could make our life "better", what we want , where we want to go (more, more, more, us, us, us), I spend time recognizing the things in my life that I am thankful for.
This week I want to first recognize Mr. Stokes. Stokely is our new cat who has changed our life in the most wonderful ways in just a matter of four days! What a difference it makes having this little guy around the house while Chris is gone. As I type this he is laying asleep up my left arm. I know Christopher and I can be perceived as biased on this topic, but we do believe he is the best kitten I have ever met! As I cleaned the shower this afternoon, he just sat on the scale watching me, as I wash dishes he follows me around the kitchen, when I have a seat he comes to my lap. This kitten wants to be apart of all the action, and I love that.
Chris and I also had a fabulous weekend filled with Whaling Days fireworks, Chinese fire engine ping-pong, and sweet community with local friends. Continuing to root in Kitsap and it feels so good!
Lastly, I got to hear the sweet voice of my friend Tricia! What a treat!
Not all cats are like that, but the ones that are sure are sweet! Our kitten (ok, she's over a year old now so not really a 'kitten') seems to think she's a dog, and can't stand to not has us in sight! It's so nice to have a little animal trotting around and following you, isn't it?! That must be so nice, to have him around while home alone. I'm glad you found such a perfect kitty! (and SO gorgeous!)
ReplyDelete(also, in my biased opinion, Xyla is the best kitten..so there! :) )
Total dog mentality! I've never seen a cat respond to 'come' like little Stokes does!
