Taking Pictures for Etsy

This spring I opened up an Etsy account. For those of you who do not know, Etsy can be describe as an online craft fair or farmers market. Etsy is an interest to me because I enjoy crafting and creating but it can get expensive sometimes, thus Etsy provides me the opportunity to fund my hobby.

This disadvantage of selling online is that your product sometimes is only as good as your photo. I've seen some tricks and tips online on how to take a quality picture of products, here is what I do!

First, natural light is very important.

Next, I use a bi-fold foam board from Michaels craft store that I purchased for $5.99 ($3.59 with a Michaels 40% coupon).

Here are the product pictures!

Check out more pictures of this thank you card I crafted recently by clicking 'Esty Shop' on the righthand -side in the gold picture frame!

  1. That's a great tip Lena. You pictures do look so nice and your completely right about pictures really selling or not selling a product.

I'm happy to follow you over to blogspot.

    Have a great night. Hugs...Tracy :)

  2. I'm happy you came over to follow me on blogspot Tracy! :)

I love reading your comments so please don't be shy! I'll usually even invite myself over after you've dropped a note to see what you're up to!
